I just love the humor of God. He must have such a good ol' time sitting up there watching us run around and worry about the things he has all laid out for us, don't you think? This is a great example of how He works...
The other night Alex and Lindsey were at our house and searching for something on the computer. I asked what they were doing and Alex said he just didn't feel like going to school for another 4 years to get his PA(Physician's Assistant) degree. He's sick of school and even though he's working part time, he wants a "real" job! In my best mom voice I said, "don't worry bud, things will work out." This was about 9:30 PM on a Tuesday night.
The next morning around 9:30 AM he got a call from the Cadillac Fire Department that they were looking to hire a new fire fighter and would Alex still be interested? He had applied for a job there when he first graduated from Lake Superior State, and even though he was well qualified for the job, they told him they were looking for somebody a little older and more experienced. He did make it to the top two interviewees at that time, but just wrote off Cadillac as a learning experience. That was 18 months ago, so to hear from them on that day at that time was nothing short of a miracle in the big scheme of things! But there's more...
I was talking to a guy I work with and his wife has been living in Cadillac for the past 9 months for a teaching job. Her job ends today and she will be moving back home, but still has a couple months on her lease for the duplex she rented while she was up there. We've talked a couple of times about her place, and he just randomly asked if I knew anybody who was looking for a place to live up in
the Cadillac area. (ha, ha!) He knows John and went on to say that the fire marshall for Cadillac lives one house to the north and a firefigher lives next door, to the east, so the place is surrounded by fire fighters!!! How cool is that? IF Alex gets this job, he would have a place to live, next door to several fire fighter neighbors, within walking distance to the fire station. Now try to tell me that God isn't sitting up there chuckling about this!! And yet the story continues...

After we talked to you on Tuesday night, Lindsey and I went and prayed about the whole situation and things have just fallen into place since!"
Miracle or coincidence...you decide!
Live, Laugh, Love...
